A Tribute to Judge William Henchey

Woburn, May 5, 2006

On May 5, 2006 there was a special session held on the 4th District Court of Easter Middlesex County, located in Woburn, MA.  From 1937 until 1964, the presiding Justice of this District Court was Judge William H. Henchey, Fr. Joe's father.

Judge Rita H. Koenigs, of the Springfield Court, was sitting in session for this special ceremony on what was her 54th birthday, May 5, 2006. She had met Judge Henchey in January 1963 - when she was a nine year old girl, and when Fr. Henchey was being transferred from Sacred Heart Parish in Feeding Hills MA - to Our Lady of Angels, in Woodbridge, VA.

Judge Koenigs had happy and vivid memories of the late Judge Henchey [+ July 14, 1968] and wanted to honor him in this special manner.
